The 7th International Symposium on Structure-Property Relationship in Solid State Materials (SPSSM-2018)
The 7th International Symposium on Structure-Property Relationship in Solid State Materials (SPSSM-2018) will be held in Montesilvano-Pescara (central part of italian Adriatic coast), from Friday, June 8th to Wednesday, June 13th 2018.
Following the format of previous SPSSM Symposia (held in Bordeaux in 2006, Nantes in 2008, Stuttgart in 2010, Bordeaux in 2012, Qingdao in 2014 and Nantes 2016), the SPSSM-2018 will be an international forum to present and discuss recent research results on solid state materials. The focus will be on the relationships between the structure and/or chemical composition and the specific physical properties of these materials as well as how one might modify these properties by varying the nature of the chemical bonds, the strength of the electron-electron interaction, the concentration of dopants and defects, etc. Hence, the meeting will be devoted mainly to the structure-property relationships in materials with peculiar electronic, magnetic, optical, topological or energy-related properties.
The symposium will consist of invited and contributed oral presentations (with 35 and 20 min durations, respectively, including discussion) and poster presentations. The official Conference language is English.
TOPICS AND SESSIONS:
Magnetism
Superconductivity
High-pressure studies
Topological Matter
Computational studies of Structure-Property Relations
Optical properties
Energy-related new materials
